Dubsado – Client Automation

Dubsado was (is) my first go around for client automation.  I ran into Dubsado while trying to figure out how I can automatically send my potential client a proposal without pulling over to open my email or waiting until I got home to open up my laptop.  I figured, there has got to be a better way…especially with technology advancement.

In walks Dubsado.   O.k. Dubsada didn’t WALK in per se but its name sure does sound cool enough where I can picture it walking into a saloon in a western movie…coming to save the day.  Anyway, I digress…Dubsado came into my life just in time to set up a new system that would help me stay on top of the many tasks that need to be done.  The tasks that can either be missed or delayed…especially as a Solo-Entrepreneur.

So what is Dubsado…it’s is an answer to your automation woes.  Dubsado is the brain-child of a Husband and Wife team who set out to create a HUB that will help them work more efficiently.  A place where they could keep everything related to that one client in an effort to avoid toggling between several apps.   They started out small but they have grown with a couple hand full (or more) employees and from what I can see they are pretty dedicated to improving their product to help other improve upon theirs.

Giving Dubsado a shot will be a decision that will boost the productivity of your entire business processes.  Try it and see!

Tick Tick Task Management

Tick Tick is a colorful to-do list/task management application that provides plenty of customization options to assist you in your quest to become more organized so that you can become more productive.  I ran into this app while I was looking for more functionality (time-blocking) with my Google Tasks app on my Android.  Google Task upgrade option led me to Tick Tick.  I was intrigued because of the color scheme options and that there were various platforms that I could use the app on which is great in my book of productivity hacks.  Something that also led me to explore Tick Tick is that ability to use Pomodoro within the app.  I love that option because that means I could stay within my task and not use the completely separate app to Pomo my time as I work through my to-do list.

For the features that I mention above, you have to subscribe to their service but it’s well worth the expense especially if it gets you closer to being the “productive, in-control of your own destiny” human being.  I started using the app on my Samsung android but I just recently downloaded it onto my Chromebook.  I must say that the mobile app seems a bit easier to work with when it comes to setting up pomos for your tasks but the desktop version makes it easier to plan your day and time block as needed.

Tip:  On the desktop version, to turn on Pomodoro feature…go to “Settings”, then “Lab” to turn on the feature.  On the mobile app, it’s already available.

If this hasn’t convinced you to give it a try, look out for my upcoming video to get a peek on how the app works.

Trello – Kanban Board Style

Trello came into my life during a time when I had so many tasks floating around and no creative way to get them out.  Trello helps me do just that and more.  Not only do I use it to list tasks, but I also use it to break those tasks down into manageable and more importantly…visible steps.  Trello is known as a visual tool to manage projects either as an individual or as a team.  It can be customized, integrated and automated.  People use if for project management, task management or just to lay out steps that involved in a creative or business process.

For those Chromebook and Google users (like me), there are countless extensions to help you customize your Trello experience.  Many of those extensions can be used instead of the add-ons available in Trello.  Don’t get me wrong, those add-ons are great, however, you should research which ones will give you the results that you need.  Simply put, you may find just what you need by using an extension especially if you use the Chrome/Google version of Trello most often.

Nonetheless, I urge you to give Trello a try and see if it’s for you.  The variety of customization options are endless which is what can truly give your productivity a huge boost.
